Challenge
When a major North American energy client needed to manage a crisis arising from an industrial accident, they turned to FH for advice and on-the-ground support. The accident occurred in one of Canada’s largest urban areas, affecting residents and the surrounding marine environment. FH’s support included strategic and online communications, media relations, federal and provincial government relations and community outreach. In addition to providing strategic advice and materials, FH assembled a support team that worked on-site with the company to adjust its approach as the situation evolved, proactively reach out to media, government officials and area residents.
